Alabama Looks to Snap Two-Game Skid Against Texas A&M on Homecoming
The No. 13 Crimson Tide host the Aggies Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on ABC with six players on the injury report and a bye week to follow.
Tuscaloosa, Ala. Alabama returns to Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday needing a win more than at any point this season. The Crimson Tide (5-2, 3-2 SEC) host Texas A&M (4-3) at 2:30 p.m. Central on ABC, and it is the first time the Aggies have been Alabama's Homecoming opponent.
Alabama dropped to No. 13 in the AP poll after losing to Georgia and Tennessee in consecutive weeks. It was the program's first back-to-back regular-season losses since 2007.
The Series
This is the 17th meeting between the schools, with Alabama holding a 13-3 edge entering the season. The last game in Tuscaloosa went to Alabama, 24-20, in 2022. Texas A&M won the 2021 meeting 41-38 in College Station, and the Aggies' last win at Bryant-Denny came in 2012, when Johnny Manziel led a 29-24 upset of a top-ranked Alabama team.
History favors the home team on this weekend in particular. Alabama is 89-14-1 all-time on Homecoming and has won 22 of its last 25 Homecoming games dating back to 2000.
